Beautiful memories, baking cookies.

 MY FIRST BAKING EXPERIENCE!!!

The joy of a beautiful rainy day usually prompts us all to eat something delicious, something exciting. Last week when it rained, (Oh the rare rain in Mabellah!) I thought of baking cookies. It was my first time trying to bake something. I always hesitant to try my hand on baking. Surprisingly, my perception of baking changed after I tried it and realised it isn't so challenging after all. Thought of sharing my first baking experience with my dear readers along with the recipe.

Double chocolate choco – chip cookies

Ingredients:

1 cup all - purpose flour

1/4th cup cocoa powder

3/4th cup sugar (½ cup granulated white sugar + 1/4th brown sugar)

1/3rd cup or 80 gm butter (unsalted)

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp vanilla essence

1/4th tsp salt

1 egg

½ cup chocolate chips

Method:

In a bowl combine the butter and sugar and cream it together (beat it) using an electric hand mixer or just a whisk. Add in the egg and vanilla essence and beat for another five minutes. Sift the dry ingredients in it (flour + cocoa powder + baking powder + salt). Add in the chocolate chips and fold together gently.

You can keep the batter in the fridge for about half an hour. Just make sure you don’t eat up the entire cookie dough before you bake the cookies! 😉😉😋😋

Take a baking dish and line it with parchment paper. Using an ice – cream scooper or just with your hands make small rounds of the cookie dough and place it over the baking tray. Bake in a pre – heated oven at 180°C for eight to ten minutes. This batch makes about 12 cookies.

Ps: You can never have enough chocolate chips in a chocolate chip cookie. So add in as much chocolate chips as you like.

I enjoyed baking these cookies a lot, and they tasted delicious. It's definitely worth trying. 😋😋

Cookies definitely make the world a better place....😍😍

By the way, I stole the recipe from my sister. 😊💕
